This anti aging cream is the latest skin care buzz that claims to do something that many of us are looking for: give the user radiant, firmer, younger looking skin that glows and looks great whether you are or are not wearing make up.
Everyone wants that glowing skin they see on television, and they want something that won’t feel like it is weighing them down – but is there a product that can actually do that?
The ads claim they can help you get the best skin you possibly can: skin that is devoid of wrinkles, age spots, acne, and even fine lines!
But how does this cream measure up to the competition? What do we really think of it?
We certainly found many Lifecell Reviews but wanted to have our own opinion about this antiaging treatment.
Take a look at what we found….

What is this LifeCell Product?
The multiple TV ads or online banners claims this is an all-in-one anti-aging treatment formulated to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
The product is packed with some of the most renowned anti-aging ingredients on the market.
At first, we will admit that we just thought it was a product with a semi-decent name and a bunch of promises that it really couldn’t keep.
We thought that is was just another one of those flash in the pan type creams that we’d find on the bottom of a bin at our nearest Wal-Mart store.
However, when we checked the list of ingredients, we were pretty impressed and quickly thought that it could be really as effective as claimed.
What Ingredients
Lifecell skin antiaging effect would be based or the result of a powerful combination of ingredients such as:
• Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C): Reduce the age spots and other marks on your skin that make you look older than you actually are.
• Malus Domestica Plant Stem Cells: swiss apple stem cells that are known to Combat chronological aging
• Dithiolane-3-Pentanic Acid aka Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA): Reduce the inflammation on your skin and stop the effects of free radicals at the same time.
• Ubiquinone: This anti-oxidant will help your body produce more elastin, collagen, and other molecules that will keep you looking young and healthy. This is what really gives you that “glow” that will take years off of your face.
• Acetyl Hexapeptide-3: Botox in a bottle!
• Deanol or DMAE: Firms your skin and makes it tighter, stopping the formation of wrinkles and fine lines.
DMAE, Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, all these ingredients have received nothing but rave reviews by both consumers and skin care professionals (including our in house cosmetologist) so that made us pretty excited to test this beauty.
Moreover, this cream was supposed to work on another level: instant optical result with help from micro-fillers and the incorporation of light-reflecting microtechnology to smooth and virtually eliminate the look of fine lines right before your eyes in almost 1 minute.
Our cosmetist did show us other great products with lightreflecting microspheres so we already knew it was possible.
So, what did we think of this anti aging treatment? Let’s dive in.
Our brutal Lifecell review
First let’s check the ingredient INCI list, which we like to explore to find a few hints about the product we are about to test.
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Derived), Silicon Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Glycerin (Plant Derived), Dimethylethanolamine, Cetearyl Glucoside, Sclerotium Gum, Iron Oxides, Thioctic Acid (a-Lipoic Acid), Tetrahydrobisdemethoxydiferuloylmethane, Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract, Retinol (Vitamin A), Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Stabilized Vitamin C), Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Cupric Carbonate Hydroxide (Mala’Kite), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Plant Derived), Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Tribehenin, Sodium Acryloylimethyltaurate Copolymer, Ceramide 2, Ethylhexylglycerin (Plant Derived Preservative), Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate), PEG-10 Rapeseed Sterol, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Steareth-20 (Plant Derived), Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Dipeptide-2, Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta Carotene, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C Palmitate)
Ok let’s be clear, this list is impressive and seems to back up the powerful claimed effect of this cream. It seems to be loaded with the ingredients listed on the official website and we were happy to find that this product is also fragrance and Paraben-free.
According to our friendly cosmetologist, this cream would even have more actives than what was indicated on the official website such as malakite ( a copper complex/ stone extract that protects and detoxifies) or Spilanthes flower (Spilanthes acmella flower extract) that is said to target the loss of skin firmness and appearance of deep wrinkles, and other actives… good news!!
We were surprised by the fact they did not mention all these ingredients found in the INCI list…. Yet from the look of this list, we were convinced we would be thrilled by this cream….
First impression: It is a lightweight cream that doesn’t take long to penetrate. No scent as expected and easy to apply… It is also non greasy and non sticky
But unfortunately that is all the positive things we could say about this cream.
We were absolutely not impressed by the light reflecting effect that was supposed to reflect the light away from our face by hiding the shadows that make our wrinkles look so deep.
Instead we had that yellowish tone which would probably be suitable for medium tan skin with olive undertones and dark skin but certainly not for light to medium olive skin or fair to medium skin with pink undertones.
We were told that a formulator has a wide range of light reflecting microspheres to use and it seems that Lifecell all-in-one anti-aging treatment did not really use the best ones…
As for the anti aging effect, I seriously doubt if this cream has any antiaging effect other than its light moisturising properties. I am a serious user of anti aging creams and that is the first time I have the weird feeling an anti aging cream won’t help much.
After 4 weeks of use, I did not find the slightest skin improvement whatsoever.
To be fair, this cream is hydrating (at least for a normal skin, it wouldn’t be enough for dry skin) but I expected more from it considering the price…
Here again, I really wonder if this cream contains the actives as claimed, or maybe it does but the percentage of each active is maybe too low to be effective enough.
As our cosmetologist told us, the ingredient list simply indicates what is in the cream, but it does not tell us how much we have of each active… 0.05% is not the same as 5%….
So we are sorry to tell you we didn’t really like this Lifecell anti aging cream as we did not find any anti aging effect other than a light moisturising one.
It wouldn’t be too bad if this cream was not priced at $ 189 for only 2.54 oz/ 75 mL.
Maybe we should have used it longer than 4 weeks but that’s usually enough to get a fair assessment…
We now kinda understand the multiple bad reviews from users on websites such as Amazon here.
To make matters worse, we were also pretty shocked by the bad reports about the company and the bad lifecell reviews about their hard selling tactics.
Our final verdict
You won’t be really surprised by our conclusion. At myawesomebeauty.com, ( and this is only our opinion) we will definitely suggest you to stay away from this brand because we did not find Lifecell effective enough.
We also think it is clearly not worth the outrageous cost of $189 for 2.4 oz. Moreover, too many consumers complained about their lack of ethics: in this case we think you’d better be safe than sorry….
So don’t waste your precious time and your money : there are other anti aging creams far more effective and way more affordable… (coming soon, working on it…)
Update:
Since we published this review, we were asked by many readers the brands we recommend. In fact, we are currently reviewing and testing a lot of them. We ware waiting to get more solid results before recommending them but so far, we were impressed by one brand with their creams and serums after 2 weeks. The formulations are really worth it and they offer a sweet 60 day money back guarantee. Check this brand on their official website if you want in the meantime. By the way, we have already writte a review about them for their acne skincare line here.
