Did you still see your grandmother in the mirror? Chances are that you aren’t focusing on the skin around your eyes. Eye creams make up a large part of the skincare market, but they typically aren’t the first step for people who are seeing signs of aging – but they should be.
But with so many eye products on the market, which one is the best for you?
While we can’t guarantee that everyone will have the same results, we have found that Elite Serum RX has been causing quite a stir in the beauty community.
Of course, here at myawesomebeauty.com you know we could not stay away from it and we definitely had to take a closer look at it.
Why Do Your Eyes Look Old?
Typically, our eyes are the first place to show signs of aging because of a few different reasons.
It all comes back to the fact that the skin around our eyes is extremely thin and delicate, which means it is more prone to damage from free radicals, improper skincare, sun damage, and genetics.
Our eyes usually have to cope with a few issues like dark circles, sagging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and even puffiness. (Yep, the usual nice stuff we hateJ)
That is why the best eye cream would work on all of these issues at the same time.
Elite Serum RX Brand Overview
Even if you haven’t heard of Elite Serum, you have probably heard of its creator, SkinPro, which has been designing and selling skincare products since 2009.
This company is extremely dependable and has been known for efficiency and value in their skincare products since its debut.
The eye serum itself comes from Irwin Grams, a cosmetic pharmacist who is at the forefront of skincare methods and technology.
SkinPro takes great care in their products, developing everything in a state-of-the-art lab in Miami, that has even been monitored by the US Food and Drug Administration, and the State of Florid Health Departments.

Product and Claims
According to the official website:
Elite Serum RX (extra strength) contains an unprecedented and extremely effective, highly concentrated blend of potent medical-grade patented peptides and nature’s most gifted moisturizers.
Elite Serum claims to deliver a concentrated dose of Hyaluronic Acid and seaweed extract to moisturize your skin, filling in those fine lines and reducing those crow’s feet for a younger appearance .
Argireline, Hyloxyl, Eyeliss, Matrixyl 3000, SYN-COLL and SNAP-8 are all very powerful peptides, which kinda target your lost collagen, elastin and fibronectin in the skin.
Why does this work for your skin?
Because as you age, you naturally lose those skin fibers which lead to thin skin and wrinkling. ( yeah depressing, isn’t it?)
Elite serum RX actually combines the best peptides from worldwide famous ingredient manufacturers such as Lucas Meyer, Sederma, Lipotec, Pentapharm… Our cosmetologist told us they are definitely the leading skincare manufacturers that propose currently the most potent actives and that regularly get awarded by the cosmetic industry for their discoveries.
SkinPro works with these companies continually, and is always ahead of the curve in cosmetic technology because of it.
That also means that SkinPro is constantly updating and improving their products.
That is why there are quite a number of different versions of this serum in the market, but to be sure to get the latest and the most potent edition, it is recommended to purchase the product on their official website and look for – Elite Serum Rx (extra strength). (Note the “RX”, which indicates it is the current latest version)
So, this product is formulated with medical grade ingredients, is rich in seaweed, and contains peptides that have been proven to improve the look and feel of skin around the eyes.
It has also been scientifically formulated to be both hypoallergenic and non-irritating.
The best part is that even though this serum is loaded with many ingredients, it is still very lightweight and comfortable for you to wear with other creams and make up. It absorbs quickly into the skin, so you can even use it in the morning before going to work! The cooling sensation may even wake you up – which is great for those tough days!
And on top of that, it is manufactured in the USA in a FDA registered Laboratory.
How to use it?
The instructions are pretty simple:
- Start with a clean, dry face.
- Use a drop or two of the serum on your finger, and tap to apply under the eye.
- Use twice daily: once in the morning and once at night.
Our Complete Elite serum RX Review
So, we were a bit scared of the result…
First we asked our dear cosmetologist his opinion from the ingredient list.
Ingredients : Chondrus Crispus (Seaweed) Extract, Hylauronic Acid, Purified Water (Aqua), Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Glycerin, Steareth-20, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Chrysin, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Dipeptide-2, Polysorbate-20, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Acetyl Octapeptide-3, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Acetyl Hexapeptide-30, Arginine, Caprylyl Glycol, Tetradecyl Aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric UreaTrifluoroacetate, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 Diaminobutyroyl Hydroxythreonine. Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
This serum is clearly loaded with an impressive combination of the best clinically tested peptides available. It was as if one formulator had put together all the best actives in one eye product to create the most effective eye treatment. But as the actives are pretty expensive by themselves, the final price would be pretty steep as a result.
Argireline is considered by experts such as dr. Oz as one the most effective needle free alternative to cosmetic injections, by reducing wrinkle depth.
Haloxyl (Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7) reduces puffiness and dark circles under the eyes
Matrixyl 3000 has become one of the most respected and effective peptides being utilized in anti aging skin care today. It activates the skin natural production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid to reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging.
It is paraben free as the preservatives used is a combo of caprylyl glycol, pehnoxyethanol and ethylglycerin, which are safe alternatives to parabens.
Our cosmetist also told us the gel texture was certainly the most appropriate one for the eye area as eye creams can tend to be too oily and too heavy, which often promote puffiness instead of fixing it…
To make this gel even better, we would have preferred to have aloe vera for the water base to increase the hydrating and soothing effect.Yeah we are picky…
First impression:
The serum comes in a fun packaging, which came as a surprise at first. Instead of the regular jar or tube usually proposed, we got a nice airless dispensing Syringe. It was really convenient because it gives you a very precise amount of product. You only need small dots of products for the eye are… so you don’t waste it and the eye product lasts longer.
The other 3 reasons why we liked the syringe were:
- This airless packaging prevents the product from being exposed to open air. And you want it because open air kinda oxidizes the eye cream and decreases its effectiveness over time. (No, no we want full power at all times..)
- It also avoids cross-contamination, as putting fingers into a jar of cream each day is the best way to spread bacteria into unused product.
- According to our cosmetologist friend, formulators usually would use fewer preservatives if they know the product is dispensed via an airless packaging, because they know the cream is kept air tight and sanitary as a result. So it also means less possible irritation for us (double yippee!!)
So we liked the syringe, but it was a bit tricky at first to use it (we are so used to tubes and jars) but we quickly got the hang of it after a few uses.
The eye serum is a really nice gel that absorbs very quickly into the skin, it is of course non oily and you can feel its fydrating and moisturising effect from the first use.
A tip from our cosmetologist friend was to keep the product in the fridge to get a cooling effect that can help with eye puffiness.
From the first use, I could feel a light tightening effect, which was probably due to the gelly texture from the seaweed. I did use it twice a day, as recommended by the official website, during 4 weeks.
Results after 4 weeks
I was very impressed by the results.
This serum did improve my dark circles and my under eye puffiness. My dark circles were pretty mild to start with but after the 3rd week, I somehow forgot I used to have dark circles… What was the most impressive effect though was the improvement on puffiness, because even when I had a really short night, my eyes wouldn’t have that usual tired look…
It is even perfect if you need to wake up your eye skin right before a date ( that’s why the Fridge tip was spot on )
Th fine lines have faded a lot, and even some wrinkles looked less deep but some other outer eye wrinkles did not imporve as much as I wanted. The results on wrinkles actually were more noticeable for one eye. I probably need to use it a bit longer to see the same improvement on the other eye. Yeah, I wish I could say that all my eye wrinkles have gone by 4 weeks but I may need to be a little more patient.
I even used it above my upper lip, to improve the vertical lip lines; I know it is an eye product but when I saw the nice results after 1 week, I was curious to know if it would alos work on thos pesky lip lines…. Yeah, those lines improved also, I cannot say they imporved as much as for the eye area but the lines looked less deep. I suppose the eye skin area being thinner, the results appear quicker than for the skin around the lips.
The other great point is the amount of serum you need daily, you only need a tiny amount so the serum last very long, I guess from what I used after 4 weeks, a syring could last around 3 months. Of course If I keep using it for my lip lines, then it would last probably 2 months.
With such positive results, this serum is hands down a keeper but we need to keep in mind this serum is a bit expensive.
It is $89 per serum (0. 47 fl.oz/ 14 ml), which is way more expensive than other brands. On the other hand, we have in this serum a combination of all the most effective actives in one product and the syringe packaging helps to use the right amount of product so the serum would last 2-3 months. That makes around 30$ per month.
But skinpro actually proposes a kind of replenishment & savings program that saves you 33%, so the serum would cost $59.95. Every 30 days, they would ship you a new order and bill $59.95 per unit until you decide to cancel, which you can do anytime.
I would recommend you to pick the replenishment program so to get the cheapest price but to keep track of the 30 days milestone so you can cancel if after 30 days, you don’t like the results from the serum. Click here to know more.
Other Elite Serum RX reviews
When we review a product, we also usually like to check other reviews, as we know we have all different skin conditions so results can vary from one person to another.
The reviews that we found after doing a google search were all very positive. They all claimed fewer wrinkles, brighter skin, and improved skin texture. Skinpro is very transrent about them and clearly show all the reviews from websites such as amzon for example.
Most of the reviews came from people in their mid-30s to their 60s, and most reported that they saw visible improvement in the condition of their skin, including their crow’s feet and puffiness.
Many also claimed that their skin looked and felt better with makeup on, which is something most products don’t offer. That means we can save money by buying fewer concealers 🙂
Our Final Verdict
After our 4-week test, our conclusion of this elite serum RX review is clear.
This eye serum is absolutely one of the best eye products available by combining so many potent peptides in one product. You would probably need to buy 3-5 products to gather the same actives.
The results we got were pretty stunning after 4 weeks, on dark circles, puffiness, fine lines an wrinkles (though results on fin lines and wrinkles could be better, but to be fair we only used it for 4 weeks)
The price is unfortunately a big drawback that will certainly make it out or reach for some people but one serum can last between 2-3 months and you don’t need to purchase several eye products for each issue, this one is almost a general weapon that fights them all.
With it, you know you have a solid product that delivers. (Not those typical marketing stuff that is full of fillers without any real active ingredients).
